Hey everyone! I'm a web game dev by day and dabble with engine development in my free time. I have developed a few games in Unity for my job and I also begrudgingly do web programming as well there. I have experience with OpenGL, Bullet, and SDL, I've written some quick game engines with them that typically don't turn in to much more than shitty tech demos. I also have experience with CI, build systems, and testing.
I also have experience interfacing with interpreters, mainly using JS and Python interpreters in web browsers that run user code. So I might be able to help with the Lua interpreter stuff. I haven't used Lua too much on its own though.
While I haven't played too much mw, I have played Skyrim and Fallout a lot.

Welcome, we're glad to have you.
We have a good intro page on development with some high-level overview of our architecture.

Our Lua development is well underway, so feel free to help review merge requests as they come up to get a feel as to what we're doing.
There are also a few beginner tickets available if you want to dive in.
