That's not announced yet, it's only know, it's 1000 years before Skyrim, some guy Molag Bal is trying to drag the whole Tamriel into demon world or something like that. So I guess whole Tamriel will be available?

Anyway more information should be known later today, as well as teaser trailer or something.

I love online games, but I don't want TES online really, it would be something unworthy of the name. Well, we'll see how they do it anyway, they say they have been working on it for few years now..

More information released today as said:

There will be no real-time combat, and there will be stealth and crafting but not much is know about either of those things.

There will be three factions:
Ebonheart Pact: nords, dark elves and argonians
Aldmeri Dominion: high elves, wood elves and khajiits
Daggerfall Covenant: bretons, redguards and orcs

PVP zone will be settled in Cyrodill, therefore battles PVP battles are for conquering Imperial City and it's throne (a real player/head of fraction will be on throne)
And those battles will have maximum number of 100 players for each fraction, so expect large-scale battles.

Whole Tamriel will be available most probably, but not in the beginning, first expansion will be addition of Skyrim region.

Of course there will be regular guilds to join: Fighters, Mages, Thieves and Dark Brotherhood

PvP in a rpg game is plain ridiculous. You win if you leveled up more; in other words it is not a matter of player skill, it is a matter of character level. This absurdity is coming also in shoot-n-up game with ``level-up'' and paid upgrades... Just, no.
