Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
Don't worry, this whole ZeniMax/Bethesda thing is a huge clusterfuck.

A realistic representation of future TESOnline (or, rather, Project Aedra when it's finished).

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
I play Western RPGs for the role playing and character development aspects.
I used to play MMOs for exploration and collecting. Now I don't play them at all.
To be honest, I really don't look forward to the game. I've grown really tired of MMOs. And while I'd love to say I'd like a return to more open worlds with a slow pace and no PvP, the fact is that games like Everquest really were grating on my time and nerves. Games like Vanguard, when they have a good implementation and focus on substance, would be where I send my money.
If only someone would make a game someplace between "Vanguard managed right" and Everquest 2, and totally eschewed PvP, I'd be interested.
Nowadays, when I live hand to mouth and find myself entering my 30's and having more and more to make up for in life - MMOs kind of disgust me.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online
What you have typed is exactly how I feel. I'm 30 and I have little to no time for what few hobbies I have. I haven't sat down and played a game from begin to finish since 2007. I would get bored of MMO and go play something single player and come back to MMO just to see what they have done, but actually getting into any end-game content? No way, I can not justify putting that much time into something without neglecting my family, which I value more of.Star-Demon wrote:Nowadays, when I live hand to mouth and find myself entering my 30's and having more and more to make up for in life - MMOs kind of disgust me.
