Technical details for you all, bear with me... there will be a news post with more details later but this is for those that need to get work done now.
* bugs.openmw.org (redmine) is going read-only mode, please don't use this to create new issues.
* https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/issues is our new issue tracker, so feel free to create an account.
* I've done my best to transfer as much information as I could from redmine to gitlab, pretty much re-writing existing tools in the process.
* We still have milestones, the issues track with the milestones and commits linking should work just like normal.
* I can't create new users, meaning I can't create issues from the original users so I used a openmw_redmine_user account. In the future, all new issues will be tracked from the user who created it.
* We've been in the process of migrating the wiki to our docs/ in the OpenMW repo. They are rendered for us on the ReadTheDocs platform: https://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
* What doesn't get migrated to docs/RTD will be migrated to GL's wiki.
* This means that we'll be retiring redmine and mediawiki in the process and consolidating our infrastructure on GitLab.
* Doing so gives us backups and the opportunity to self-host if that is ever needed.
So this means, while you're creating an account on gitlab... might as well fork OpenMW on gitlab as well!
https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw
We have setup a two-way mirror so that GH and GL projects talk with each other. This happens about every hour. OpenMW will stay around on GH for those interested in contributing on that platform.
In other news... the platform mud-slinging needs to stop. I've had to delete/cleanup/shit-can posts and threads and I'm a bit tired of it. Use whatever tool you think you need to to get the job done. I've tolerated some threads and conversations more than I probably should have, but if it is in the interest of OpenMW then we should all do our best to help steer it into a helpful direction. No name-calling, no personal attacks and for fuck's sake, stop baiting each other. We clear?
Update:
For those wanting to get work done on the new issue tracker: https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/issues
Guests (people on GL but not a member of the project) have the ability to create issues and add comments.
For those that want to edit issues, including updating them, assigning them and eventually closing them need ask permission to join the project which can be done here: https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw
One of the developers can add you as a 'Reporter'. Those wishing to have the role 'Reporter' should have either offered an MR (or PR on github) (previous contributor) or currently working on a MR (or PR).
Heads up...

Re: Heads up...
Since you're the present webmaster, you may want to make Bugs in the header of openmw.org link to gitlab tracker, not redmine.
Or set up redirects from bugs.openmw.org pages to equivalent gitlab tracker pages somehow.

A formal news post for this is being worked on for the main site blog. Just wanted to give you forum users an advanced notice!
Re: Heads up...
I suppose we need the huge "Moved to GitLab" billboard on our old bugtracker. And update news on OpenMW site.

Re: Heads up...
Strange. On Redmine we have 528 opened issues (302 bugs), on GitLab we somehow got 603 issues (280 bugs).
Also I do not see issues #4458-4464 on GitLab.
It seems we lost 22 bugs.

Re: Heads up...
Lost nothing, the last bugs were created doing the porting... first a dump, then issue creation. There was a bit of time in between, that will be fixed shortly.
The good news is that the ids are the same, which was kinda a sticking point of mine.. otherwise it would have been done sooner.
There were also bugs that didn't exist on redmine (deleted?) but I had to create open DUMMY tickets on GL. Those will be removed soon too.

Re: Heads up...
Looks like all of my issues and comments got reported as "Redmine User". I'm guessing it's too late to change those? No biggie if that's the case.
Also, might want to change the Redmine User to have an image aside from that of one of our users.

Re: Heads up...
https://gitlab.com/OpenMW/openmw/issues/4464 <-- that the last to be created I believe, also on redmine.
Sorry, as I said... I cannot create tickets for users, I can't make user accounts, I'm just a Group admin and not a GL admin. The story would be different if we self-host, but that isn't yet necessary. I plan on keeping the dump (backup) in case we ever do though.
All new tickets created by users will be attributed to those users who created them.
Already ahead of you, lgro created an email and the account has already been changed.

Re: Heads up...
oh yeah definitely a 301 redirect so that all links to bugs in the forum or any discussion anywhere don't end up dead or outdated.Capostrophic wrote: ↑17 Jun 2018, 18:04 Or set up redirects from bugs.openmw.org pages to equivalent gitlab tracker pages somehow.
