It probably turned pinkish because of that light from left..
Anyway this is what I got now, note I'm still pretty much a WIP, so any advices and suggestions are welcome of course.

Very nice... What about putting a blurred imagine of the whole island in the background as drawn in the yellow paper and partly wiped out by the time?

Try using a brown instead of a red for the letter color? Or even a cream-white color?

I like the color better, I kind of liked the texture of the letters in the previous draft better though? Though I am not sure I would still think that with the new color, I'd have to see it. With the new color, the differences in lighting across the logo are really noticable, what would it look like if you tried to add a little more light to the "Op" and "W" parts of the lettering?

Just ideas though, feel free to ignore. You've definitely got something going here. :)

Here it is with better texture and without lighting effect

I didn't use texture from the first image, because when it's red it kind of looks like molten, and in other color it would just be pointless i guess? I can do it tho

Maybe I should just change font?

I liked the lighting effect. :/ Just thought it needed to be broadened. And I think that brown is a little too orange, but red and cream look better in my humble opinion. Sorry if my advice has you running in circles. Go with your instincts.

http://i39.tinypic.com/2zhmfpe.png : perfect <3

(I prefer the red/pinky color as the creamy/original Morrowind one)
